Cloud and Hybrid Operations

Operation and support of cloud and hybrid environments, focused on stability, cost and continuous improvement.

// Sobre

What we deliver

We operate and support cloud and hybrid environments with a focus on stability, cost optimization and continuous improvement. That includes management of accounts and organizational structures, infrastructure automation, change management, incident support and periodic architecture reviews. When the context involves integration with a data center or other clouds, the controls are designed to work coherently across the whole environment, with governance and predictability. When the client needs it, FF Tech also runs the NOC, with its own technology.

// Contexto

The problem it solves

Cloud environments with no operational governance, growing costs with no visibility, uncontrolled changes, no automation standards and fragile integration with on-premises environments.

Who it is for

CTOs, heads of infrastructure and DevOps teams that need help keeping cloud operations stable and efficient.

When to hire

When the internal team cannot sustain the cloud environment, when costs are out of control, or when operations need more structure and change evidence.

How the work happens, in practice

An organized foundation for growth

A structure of accounts and subscriptions separated by environment and function, network standards (hub and spoke, addressing with no overlap with the data center), centralized identity with SSO and MFA, resource tagging for cost and accountability, and a landing zone that is born with security controls, centralized logs and preventive policies. AWS Control Tower, Azure Landing Zones and the Google Cloud foundations describe this design. Fixing it later, with dozens of accounts in production, costs much more, because it requires migrating resources and renegotiating agreements between teams.

Automation and change control

Infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep) makes the environment reproducible and allows changes to be reviewed the way software is reviewed, with a pull request, automatic validation and an execution plan visible before applying. Drift detection shows when someone changed something manually, and the change process defines who approves, when to apply and how to roll back if something goes wrong. The infrastructure state must be kept in protected storage, with concurrent write locking, since it may contain sensitive information. Emergency changes must also be recorded and later incorporated into the code.

Cost and architecture under review

Rightsizing, shutting down idle resources, usage commitments (such as Savings Plans and reserved instances), storage classes suited to the access pattern and periodic architecture review keep the environment efficient. Budget and cost anomaly alerts show deviations early, and tags make it possible to attribute spending to each team (FinOps). In hybrid models, the design must handle connectivity (VPN or dedicated links, with redundancy), name resolution, identity and monitoring coherently between the data center and the cloud, avoiding two parallel operating standards.
